Journaling is so important to me while I'm working on my albums. I hope that my albums get passed down for years and I think to myself, what do I want them to know about that day... The who, what, when, where and how I felt. We're making memories in our lives to be told for so many years... And like we've heard so many times, but it is so true, is that when we look back, it truly is the little moments that mean the most and truly shape our lives and future... So as you're journaling, ask yourself, what do you want others to know?

There are so many uses for journal cards! Besides the obvious scrapbooking and mini album reasons, you can also use them in your art journals.

You can punch holes at the top of them or in the corner, add a ring or ribbon and create a mini album! You can use them as layered backgrounds on layouts. They also make adorable photo mats for smaller photos! Especially if you have those small instagram photos. 

They also make great place cards or use them to write table numbers on (escort cards).

Create vintage inspired flash cards.

You can also use them as RSVP cards to tuck into your invitations! 

Use them to wrap ribbon or twine around for organizing.... 

Use as a base for your cardmaking

They can also be used as recipe cards.... The larger ones are great for this! Planning on giving a potted plant? Dry mix in a mason jar? How about using journal cards or tags for your care instructions or recipe instructions?!!!

And another trend that I really like is the project life! I think it's great and such a fun way to scrapbook. Journal cards are huge in this, and you get to tuck your memories in the pockets! You can either use the journal card to write on or use as a photo mat for smaller photos. Sometimes we really have to crop alot on some photos, so what do we do with photos that are maybe 2 inches by 2 inches?! Or the instagram photos?!

Use them in your rolodex! Take out one of your cards, place on top of the journal cards, trace around and then cut! Now you have a special card for that special someone in your rolodex! 

Use as a main image for your mini album....
